Kira Fumiyo starts collecting evidence and information regarding the cause of the worlds current unpleasant state. Soon she has gathered enough to realize Volco's existence and origin as well as some of his plots. Half mad already she starts manically composing a series of notebooks that describe how to bring him down.

Kira's travels near the old lighthouse and the village of turtle point bring her to the realization that some short of alchemy is being used to pollute the lake. She visits the Bastille mansion and starts her studies under the guidance of Rodrigo de Bastille, the current head of the remaining family.
