Battle of Koryl's Landing

Accounts differ as to what exactly transpired, only a few scattered remnants of the Radiant Army ever returned from those mountains. From piecing together the survivors' various tales of the battle, the Haborian clergy put together the following picture of the invasion: The Radiant Army, numbering over a hundred thousand and led by the Prophet with his Sun Furies, easily took Southwatch Keep and High Lake. The army then pushed north to assault Kabrakt but met an army of Morghai pikemen and bloodmages led by Anura, the High Kora (supposedly a descendant of the Pale Queen herself). The battle quickly turned against the Morghaian and they began a fighting retreat down towards Koryl's landing, a settlement along the river Kebrythyl. The Radiant Army followed them, eager to capture the High Kora, ruler of all Morgham. When they reached Koryl's Landing, however, a mist came out from the White Woods, shrouding the battlefield. Next, pale forms began roving through the Haborians, ripping them to shreds or dragging them off into the the sea of white. In the ensuing chaos, the Radiant Army was smashed between the warwolves of the White Circle who came down from mountains behind them and the Morghai infantry who counterattacked from the front. The Sun Furies were destroyed by Morghai magic, and the emperor was struck down by the Pale Queen herself. Soon the Haborians found themselves driven into the river, which then began to boil, cooking the soldiers alive. The heathens gave no quarter to those who tried to surrender, slaughtering those who threw down their weapons as surely as those who stood and fought.
