Ragnar Stormbane Takes Up Otaras the Thunderclast

After departing Calpi on horseback, the Saints of Fate arrive in Avul on the 2nd of Ins, 1431 LE. Upon arrival, Ragnar immediately recognizes Otaras, Tonwalu's fabled maul, sitting immobile on the harbor stones surrounded by shrine-like offerings. When Ragnar touches the weapon, he is transported to an arena atop Mt. Frioss where he faces an avatar of Tonwalu in combat. Deemed worthy by the Cloud Giant demigod, Ragnar is returned to Avul wielding Otaras, creating a massive spectacle as he brandishes the legendary weapon toward the sky.
