Khīu, Queen of the Willing Undead

Personal history
Throughout the history of the Material Planes, mortals have been protected from much suffering due to the fact that most demons are confined to Demonia. However, Khīu is not bound to that realm. She is the inventor of necromancy and undeath. Initially, she focused on creating mindless undead creatures, but over time, she began to create undead who retained some or all of their mental faculties. This culminated in the creation of liches and vampires, who were initially mortals that willingly entered the state of undeath. While the demon has now largely abandoned the creation of mindless undead, she remains the queen of those who retain awareness of their lost mortality. Her special cruelty is demonstrated in showing these creatures what they have lost while also compelling them to preserve their undeath.
