Overview or... THE PLEDGE!!!
July is the month of the Summer Camp. For me it is the month of travelling to Denmark to the
Viking Festival, honing my craft in the workshop (it is up an running, finally!), building up my health again with attending the gym, have some Dragonboat training... and then time to write?! Well, see down below the prompt tiles. I try to fill as many as I can, but this time during Summer Camp I am more than occupied.
Goals
My goals for this Summer Camp are small. I wanna reach Copper, I wanna write more nations and I wanna take care of myself. I burned out in 2023 and haven't healed properly since, so healing is a priority and I have to decide what prompt I want to write and which one I can write, already stated in
That damn SummerCamp 2024 pledge!.
Happy writing, folks. :)
Assignments
Week 1
Assignment 1
My motivations are the same as last Summer Camp. I want to reach Copper as the bare minimum, everything else is bonus. The theme of Nourishment fits into this war-ridden world where we could dive into the times of the Creation, of the
Times of War or the entire demonic conflict regarding the beings from out of the
Spiral. There are plenty of options, not counting droughts or other natural disasters.
Assignment 2
Got my pledge, signed and sealed it. Much hasn't change during the last year in terms of motivation, so my pledge stays basically the same as 2024.

by World Anvil
Assignment 3
The most important articles are up-to-date, corresponding articles already got most of the necessary updates.
Week 2
Assignment 1
I have no idea on which area or cultures I want to focus during this Summer Camp, but it will tie in with my already existing primer.
Assignment 2
Koria is as good as I can manage at the time. The Homepage might need a bit of work, but since I'm thinking about an entire new theme - or at least an update to the existing one - this is a topic for consideration as well.
Assignment 3
I'm always proud of things I am doing. :)
To be fair, my Bluttreue project needs a lot of love and I got a bit of help from a fellow worldbuilder to get the theme and some of the articles clean and nice to read.
Week 3
Assignment 1
Metamorphosis is a neat theme, but the problem is, that we are in a time of constant change due to the nature of my world and the setting. Buuuut we will dive into some of the topics and difficulties my people have to endure and be it the Orcs in their frost-ridden lands!
Assignment 2
A new author? Oh there was Nora Bendzko, a german author who wrote a very queer book about the Amazons and their struggle with the greek gods. That was very cool. In terms of art I always favour
NodensArt or, what I discovered recently,
ArtWithka with their really good dark art.
Assignment 3
I am in the World Anvil community for a while, I really enjoy the company of the great Anvilities of our age.^^ If it is the dark, haunting underworld of Quirilion, the Age of Dead Gods in Cathedris by Stormbril or the 1001 Nights of Aran'sha by Tyrdal, there is a lot to drew inspiration from; say, too much to give them all credit or just pick a few. What article should I chose from, say, Hanhula and her world Istralar?
Yes, I drew inspiration from everything and everyone, because they are all beautiful and great!
Week 4
Assignment 1
Oh, that is easy. The
Electorial Congregation and
Roland are trying to change the future, to deny demons the entry and shape a future where there is not only war.
Assignment 2
My writing schedule is: write when you can, where you can. Since I am more than occupied - especially because I now have a partner - I need to use every free minute I can get.
My writing space is set up. I have my music, my fancy keyboard, my muse, so lets get going.
Worldbuilding resources are always at hand and everything I might need is there. And when I need to research something specific... well, then be it so.
Stubmurder is a thing, right? RIGHT?!
Assignment 3
Jokes on you, I am a part of the community since 2019, my accountability buddies are in the entire discord, especially the Worlds Inn and the german channel. Aside from that I want to show my partner what I'm doing.
And last but not least:
It is a competition. Give your best, but don't burn out. So I pledge myself to Camp Chill, made by Rin Garnett. :)
Well, happy viking camp Eddie! May the prompts fall in your favor!
Thank ya, the Old Ones will guide me on my journey.^^
