Overview
Round 4 of World Ember for me, since my first World Ember was in 2020 with my vampire world of Bluttreue. Since this time I made a lot of progress and figured out a lot, like CSS, writing pace, writing style, style for my worlds.
And without further ado, lets dive into the homeworks, shall we?
Homework Week 1: Goal(s)
My goal are 10.000 words over three worlds, namely Koria, Humans are Space Orcs and Sixth Kingdom. There is a plot to write, new articles to forge (Hoomans wanna hav' spashesshieeeps) and hammering out new concepts. So lets do this.
(And if I hear one more word about updating my meta, I swear to
Idur, I'm doing unholy things. It hasn't changed for years!)
Homework 2: Prepping for new readers
During the start of Summer Camp 2024 I did that. The introduction is done, the primer (
Guiding Light of Koria) is also written and explains the basic concepts of the world. My
Caretaker's Inn is there for new readers which explains in a more immersive way what Koria is and how it works. Community tools are set the moment my worlds are coming to life, so fire, follow, forge away!
If I find a spot which needs love in form of fresh CSS, I'm going to do that without burying myself into the next rabbit hole. Aside from that, the CSS is as updated as it can get.
Homework 3: Finding Inspiration
I don't need to find inspiration or moodboards, for my worlds I either listen to Danheim or Heilung and then inspiration hits. It is mostly a topic of energy (management), which strikes me down. I have so many things to write about!
Homework 4: The power of friendship
I am already established in a good chunk of the community on Discord and WA itself, so...yeah. Getting fresh air might be a good thing, I might take out my laptop and sit on the balcony with a hot mead and a pipe just to spice things up. Maybe I visit some friends, one of the WA community as well who lives only a short ride from me, so yeah...
And I don't have a writing schedule outside my normal streaming times, so I write when I have more time than just five minutes. And since I got a new keyboard which is solely bought for my writing (clicky clacky keyboard with typewriter caps made out of metall and leather), the fun is more enhanced than just a bit.
