Session 41: A Soap Opera of Events at the Golden Gai

The party gathers to plan how best to approach the floors above, with laughter and occasional comments about their thoughts echoing down. Anya finally climbs up as a spider and starts scouting, finding a couple hidden Yakuza, getting squished and forced to shift before she can let the other know what she found.
Sikander, getting antsy, asks Offa to go check on her. He comes up the elevator shaft and “finds” a poison trap before coming up to the room. Sikander also climbs up, catching the poison cloud, but fights it off. Silas climbs out and up the window, shooting the Yakuza with the button. As Silas enters, the Yakuza presses the button and sets off another massive poison trap.
Buddha is VERY amused as all of this transpires around him, seeming to prepare himself and is unfazed by the group slowly appearing around him.
Anya goes back and forth with her Yakuza, finally finishing him with Oniku Moonbow. Heading into the main room, she summons brown bears and shifts herself, each of them heading in a different direction to help.
Offa dispels magic and breaks the koto, then heads for the center room and casts Synaptic Static on several Yakuza.
Trying to find the others, Sikander punches a hole in the wall with Wibbles. Coming through another poison cloud, Sikander discovers his voice is high pitched as he lays hands on Silas to heal the poison. (This happens while the pair are surrounded by an eclectic collection of adult toys). Bear Anya goes after the woman playing the instrument after she casts black tentacles on the guys while they discover Akira is trapped and tied up, unable to move in a VERY secure closet.
The Bloody Buddha goes into the pleasure room and Sikander squares up to grapple him like a sumo, managing to get him by the wrists and angle for the window.
As Sikander goes sumo, Silas attacks the wall where Akira is held and chips Featherfall. As he does, Gorahashi arrives and attacks Silas, poisoning him.
Offa pulls an awesome power move and casts Feeblemind on the Bloody Buddha, allowing Sikander to shove him out the window while managing to avoid the fall himself. As the massive man falls, Granny sees him and manages to get out of the way enough to avoid injury. (The pair wander off into the sunset, with the Bloody Buddha weak minded for at least four months)
Back upstairs, the woman drops the black tentacle spell and plays, sending a cone of cold out. Anya and one bear rip into the woman, unwilling to let her attack her brother and friends. The other bears attack the door and injures Akira while taking so much damage the bear poofs away. Gorahashi attacks and poisons Sikander while Offa hits with dissonant whispers, sending him running for the ladder. Sikander takes off after him, swinging Wibbles, landing two hits twice as damaging as usual. Gorahashi’s midsection is split, causing the intestines to fly out. With a shout, “To the Seven hells with you, you Cherry bastard!” Sikander watches as the blood and entrails make small cherry blossoms as they fall. Back in the main room, Anya and the bear manage to knock the woman out instead of killing her, allowing Silas to question her about Samyra and A’flora. They learn A’flora is being held at the castle and is forced to serve the God Eaters there, while Samyra is being held at the palace and is rarely allowed out of the women’s court.
They also find out about The Dark One, a Cherry Blossom who is tied to the God Eaters, the Emporer knows little to be helpful, but the Tanuki and Foxes may be of assistance. When asked about freeing Akira, they attempt to have the woman open the puzzle door for them. Instead, she touches the door to end herself. Looking closer at the puzzle themselves, they quickly figure it out and disarm it. An intricate click and the metal door open and they find Akira sitting with a bag on his head. Silas uses his mage hand to remove the bag and discover Akira to be a Capybara Yokai. After a quick search, Sikander scoops Akira up and jumps down the elevator shaft while carrying him.
The rest climb and fly down and gather just outside the tower. Silas shows everyone Goro Hashi's blade, “I’m calling this wakazashi by the name "Sika-zashi" in honour of Sikander slaying the Poisoner. May it always be as sharp as Sikander's rage against the Cherries.” Anya nods in approval, "A weapon's name is not given lightly. I believe you've named that sword well Silas."
Sikander excitedly approves of the sword’s name, then looks pleadingly at everyone as if to ask, "Can we burn it down now?" Seeing his look, Anya kneels down and asks quietly, "Is everyone out? And how're we doing this without burning the whole of the Golden Gai down?" After he gives a shrug, she continues, "You wanna burn it down, I will help. But you have to answer those before I agree."
