What is a God
A god is someone with a ton of power, a larger than life figure, the kinda being that legends are told about, that sacrifices are made to. That being said there are loads of gods, and they sometimes are mutually exclusive, so how do we solve this.
The answer is that gods are made via faith and ritual. The more people that believe in something and pray to it, the more it becomes deified until eventually it just is a god.
Some heroes have ascended to being gods but only ever of the lowest tier.
This solves the problem of what kinds of things gods can and can’t do. There are tiers to gods
**Material**- these gods walk in the same world as regular people, possessing talents that legends and stories are made of. Typically these people become kings or great generals, sometimes even master scholars.
**Ascended**- these gods still interact with mortals and regular folk. These are the where most gods dwell. Fairly distant but still close and watching and capable of intervention.
**Outer**- not much is known about outer gods, only that they are supremely powerful and they don’t seem to ever involve themselves with mortals or their matters.
