I mean, yes, there was that bit of scandal a few years back, but if you can get past the whole "attempted to summon Yiziokli, the Fractured Suffering" thing they were incredibly effective. Besides, how many of the rank-and-file adventurers do you think actually knew what the bosses were planning. I mean most adventurers dont even now what a pint of ale costs, much to the relief of barkeeps and innkeepers everywhere. — Jasper Cameron, Leader of The Bronze Ravens.
Admittedly, despite assurances, being blamed for the partial incursion of an eldritch horror is a rather large hurdle to get over. In all honesty the survivors of the Jadecrushers would probably be better off just starting a new guild. But they had all been blacklisted, at least those who survived. Razod and his friends had been with the guild less than a month when everything went down. Not even really involved in the guild at all, truth be told, they hadn't even progressed beyond deliveries and escort duty. Then, in a fluke that likely saved their lives, a rabid Griffon being chased by the Bronze Ravens crashed through the caravan they were escorting, scattering its contents along the road. Had Selvor not recognized the good they were transporting from
his misspent youth there is a good chance that they would have ended up as sacrifices as well. Instead, with the help of the Lotus Blossoms (and the Bronze Ravens, as much as they could) they had interrupted the ritual meant to summon Yiziokli, the Fractured Suffering. Still, even a botched summoning of such a being had consequences. The old Guild Head was transformed into an unholy abomination that had to be put down, no small feat considering the lives and magics of the guild members caught in the ritual were channeled into his mutated body. Plus several other abominations slipped through the crack, it had been months clearing out the sewers under SIlmere and Razod still wasn't convinced all the horrors had been found.
He wasn't the creative sort however, and so when asked to come up with a name (spoken drawing the short straw), Razod just tacked Furious onto his old guild name, letting the world know how pissed off the survivors were at the deception and destruction that had been wrought. They would bring honor back to their guild, besides, its not like they had anyplace else to go.
