Awakening of the Prophet Laszan

Religious event

Year 936 of the Fall

The great prophet Laszan is awakened following a lucid dream in the central temple of the great caverns of Vmalasi. Laszan receives a message from the four deities stating that the Fall is nearly at its end, and that The Great Flood will come after the next Completion festival in the year 1001 of the Fall, as long as certain demands are met.

-Excerpt from the Book of Praise, detailing the awakening of the prophet.     As Laszan slept in the temple of Vmalasi, the four deities came to him in his sleep. He heard all at once their four voices, shouting to him in unison across a vast ocean of blood. The gods told Laszan that the suffering of the Khangka was nearly at its end, and that they would soon be restored to their former glory, if they were able to meet one demand from each god.       For Szu, the goddess of Wind: a wind-furnace must be constructed on the tallest island of the desert, and in it a great ring of wind-magic must be forged, to be worn by the highest of the Windpriests.   For Janszu, the goddess of Water: a Windsaddle of the highest caliber is to be crafted, and ridden around the great exterior seas, by a wind-rider chosen by the people.   For Khumunti, the god of Fortune: a great offering of gold and treasure, collected from all the citizens of the Kyonyita, is to be gathered and buried deeply beneath the sands, never to be seen again.   For Meya, the goddess of Blood: the caldera of the great Mt. Pubu, tallest peak of The Great Iron Dunes, is to be filled with a blood offering from every worshiper.
