Stuffed Quail

Quail are a popular game bird in Udynean culinary. They’re quick to roast and often serve as an intermediate course amongst many others, especially for festive occasions or gourmet meals.

The succulent meat is prized for its tenderness and unique taste, which is akin to a gamier mixture of chicken and duck.

A favoured dish of the Udynean vris Mhanek, Darshan, the bird is stuffed with a mixture of crabmeat, spices and crushed garlic before being sewn shut.

They are roasted slathered in a hearty amount of orange glazing and served upon a bed of similarly-prepared root vegetables. This glazing gives an overall sweetness to the otherwise meaty flavours.
