Sour Soup

Because of the elven nomads need to be on the move, often through uncultivated lands, their caravans have been adapted to carry most of the herbs and some the vegetables they regularly consume. One such herb is sorrel.

This leafy green is used to create the base for a soup with a tangy, lemon-like flavour that’s generally seen as a morning dish amongst various caravans.

Manufacturing process

The soup is relatively easy and quick to make, largely requiring a single large pot of water. Once the water has been brought to the boil, the meat is simmered until mostly cooked before potatoes and onions are added. When the potatoes are cooked, sorrel is added and cooked until soft.

Eggs are also a common addition, some served hard-boiled, whilst others prefer them scrambled.
