Signet Ring of the vris Mhanek
In appearance, this ring is naught but a simple band of scuffed gold with a flat top adorned with the insignia of its wearer. Much of the gold used to craft this piece is from previous similar rings, the band being melted down and crafted anew after the birth of each wearer. Only one is crafted once per generation, with any attempt to have more made, even if the vris Mhanek himself commissioned such for a spouse, being seen as impersonating a member of the Imperial Bloodline. Those found guilty of this crime are sentenced to death.
This particular ring was commissioned by Jagesh Mhanek for his son, Darshan vris Mhanek. Clearly worn and adjusted through many years, it shows its age in the scuffs and nicks along the band and outer edges of the seal, as well as the slight warping from the heat of its wearer's magic, making it conform to Darshan's finger a little more snugly than most of his rings.
It holds no magical power in itself, but the crowned symbol of the vris Mhanek bears a far greater weight than the mere ounces of gold.
