Rami (RAH-mee)
Emperor Rami , the Betrayer (a.k.a. the Forsaken)
Rami is a Nulled One and one of the main characters from the unpublished Forsaken Prince series. He is also the youngest son of the God-Emperor Sharik and the only known Forsaken living in Stamekia. Having spent much of his life growing up in his mother's nomadic tribe, he spends his late teen years attempting to navigate the entirely foreign and corrupted landscape of the imperial court whilst on a mission to slay his father.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Living the typical life of a desert nomad, as well as weapon training, has left him with a lean and wiry physique with particularly strong legs and endurance.
Identifying Characteristics
His ice-blue eyes and silver-white hair are marks of royalty passed through the bloodline from a distant ancestor.
Special abilities
Usual nulled one immunity to direct magic and the ability to sense magic being used or strong spellsters nearby, with the quirk of identifying the residue left from siphoning on a victim's body, or even bones.
Thanks to his warrior training, he is adept at wielding a variety of bladed weapons and can hold his own in a skirmish. He is also proficient at fighting from camelback. Additional training from his grandfather has taught him how to lead a company into battle.
Apparel & Accessories
He wears none of the jewellery or trinkets most nomads accumulate throughout their lives, preferring to eschew them. His attire is likewise simple, with his loose trousers, robe and head covering having him blend in with the rest of his tribe.
Like all warriors, he carries a dagger at all times, and a scimitar when travelling.

Personal history
Even with being born to the daughter of a nomadic chieftain, Rami's Nulled One status should've meant death as Stamekians see such folk as being forsaken by the gods. His one saving grace was his mother, a woman known for premonition, and the prophecy she had during the two-day labour it took to bring him into the world. This prophecy placed him as instrumental in finally bringing down the tyrant God-Emperor Sharik the Lightgiver, a man who also happened to be his father and with whom he shared an eerie likeness (as do all of Sharik's children).
Most of his childhood was the simple life of a desert nomad. He was raised alongside the rest of the children, taught to survive in the harshest reaches of the desert as well as nomadic diplomacy and traditions. At the age of sixteen, he took the trials to become a warrior and succeeded despite his Nulled Ones state, earning him the honourific of the Forsaken. All the while, completely unaware of what his mother had foreseen.
Betraying His Kin
At the age of seventeen, his mother fell ill. It was on her deathbed that she revealed his path, and he left the tribe to seek out his father to end the man. Rami knew little of his father's past, only that he had done something terrible for the whole tribe to echo his grandfather's loathing for the man, but not himself. Once in Tariqean, he encountered three half-brothers he had no knowledge of as well as Tahu, one of the God-Emperor's Divine Dolls who also sought a way to free the empire of its ruler. The pair allied, their connection growing more intimate during the months they plotted. This union would almost cause Rami to come into direct conflict with his father before their plan was in place, as the God-Emperor suspected their dalliance and abused his power over the Dolls to force Tahu into worshipping him, all to taunt his young son. Through his nomadic knowledge, Rami uncovered precisely how the God-Emperor maintained his unnaturally long life and knew of how the tale of older Dolls being sent to work a goldmine in the desert could only be a lie. In the year 1900, he returned to his tribe to gather a force strong enough to besiege the Imperial Palace. He led the assault, overpowering the guards, and confronted his father before the Golden Throne. With the aid of Tahu, who killed the God-Emperor via a crossbow bolt to the chest whilst the man was distracted, the pair ensured Sharik wouldn't rise again. With Rami left as the last of the royal line, he claimed the Golden Throne only at the behest of his grandfather to prevent a succession war. Since then, he has been taking steps to remove the empire's need for an emperor and, more importantly to him, ensure he is the last of his bloodline.Sexuality
Sexual desire is not a thing Rami has ever felt, nor wanted. Until recently, the very idea of kissing someone on the lips seemed entirely unpleasant and unhygienic. This is likely because the closest he'd gotten before Tahu was by way of his plethora of aunties kissing him on the cheek.
He is at his happiest merely cuddling with Tahu, although he does find the act of sex pleasant once involved in it.
Social
Reign
Rami's reign has only been for a few years, but he has managed to keep the empire from falling apart after his father's death and the violent return of the land's natural climate.
His vocal intent to move governance more towards the people than a single seat of power has caused some measure of disquiet amongst the court. There have yet to be any attempts to halt his goal.
Family Ties
Although he was estranged from his father for much of his life (and actively seeking the God-Emperor's downfall for the rest) and knew nothing of his half-brothers until he encountered them in Tariqean, Rami's ties with his mother's side were very close. His relationship with his grandfather was especially so, with the man treating him more as a son and was the one to insist that Rami be permitted to take the warrior trials.
Religious Views
Having been brought up with nomadic traditions, Rami has a cynical view of religion and believes worshipping a god is on par with seeking mercy from the desert. This lack of faith extends even to the Divine Light, whom the other Stamekian people worshipped prior to Sharik's usurpation. Even though he doesn't personally believe, he has still ordered the rebuilding of temples for those who do.
Speech
Having spent his childhood amongst the nomadic people of Stamekia, Rami has the same abrupt, almost tumbling, rhythm to his accent. Although, when speaking anything that isn't his native tongue, it is with a clear and defined tone.
