Mind Wipe

Once seen as merely an extreme version of hypnosis in the past, and as a punishment amongst the Stamekian nomads, this ability is universally abhorred throughout the three empires and any spellster who is found to utilise it is immediately neutralised by the relevant authorities.

Whilst it uses the same methods of direct eye-contact as hypnosis, the connection doesn’t just leave the victim pliable to suggestions, but irreversibly alters their brain.

Theoretically, there are degrees to this ability, with old reports claiming small doses simply remove patches of memory, but most known cases are lethal and involve the complete erasure of self, leaving the victim a shell that is easily manipulated by the spellster, to the point they will forget basic functions, such as breathing, if that spellster is slain.
