Fuzzy Pine
The route that the elven nomads annually take is exclusively within the northern lands, which hold an abundance of pine forests. Whilst it isn’t known who attempted to make this drink using the trees’ signature needles, records of the nomads drinking this beverage are almost as old as the caravans they travel in.
Manufacturing process
The recipe is relatively simple, a healthy dollop of wild honey is dissolved in warm water and left to cool. Freshly foraged pine needles are picked off their woodier bases and soaked to clean off any dirt before being placed in a jar filled with the honey water, leaving an inch or two above the lid. The jar is left to sit for a few days before being strained and served.
It has a tangy flavour akin to most citrus fruits that is tempered by the honey’s sweetness. True to its name, it leaves a slightly fuzzy sensation on the tongue.
