Constructs
Although some scholars consider constructs as their own type of magic, they are, at their most basic, an extension of a spellster's shield that's manipulated into another form through sustained conscious effort. This is why they emit a similar purple hue and dissipate when the spellster is rendered unconscious. The strength of such forms is also only as strong as their shield work, making it possible for stronger opponents to shatter a construct mid-use.
The creation and form of each construct hinges entirely on the spellster's imagination, their level of concentration and strength. Because of this, many use the skill to replicate benign items, such as tools or weapons, whilst those who have lost a leg may choose to replicate the limb through their own power rather than use a prosthetic (this is especially common in older soldiers who see it as a sign of strength). Some sculptors and architects use them to tinker with the base designs before beginning the physical task, although many of the latter prefer the finer abilities granted to them via projection magic.
