Architects
The Architects are the religious leaders of the Oara religion. They are so named because of their ability to manipulate matter, including within the Naayu. They are some of, if not the most respected individuals in Ylis society. According to their officialized version of the Origin Myth, they learned their craft by watching and learning from the Naayir, the original architects.
The Architects' Council is the supreme authority in the religious order. The K'oa, whom they appoint, serves as their leader, public face, and decision maker. The current title holder is Esrin K'oa. Though the K'oa does have immediate decision making power, they are not expected to go against the wishes of the council. If they do, the council may choose to remove them from their position.
The majority of council members reside in the city of Yrun, within Etarun province. Within Yrun, the Oaran Temple is the primary meeting location. The temple is near the base of the mountain. This location was chosen because nearby caves connected to the temple by tunnels, form a path down into the Naayu. Natural Naayu access points are fairly rare, making the location ideal. Due to the council's location, Yrun is the religious center of Oaran territory.
Architects are the only individuals capable of navigating the Naayu, with very few exceptions. Even then, only council members or those with equal skill to them will stay in it for long, and only council members may access the sanctuary. The lower-level architects are mostly content using their abilities to influence the world they know in smaller ways. This may include healing, sensing the coming of storms, or performing other small miracles.
