Market Hall
The central, most important market of the city of Lenen is located in a large market hall found directly adjacent to the main square of the city. It has been like that for a long time, though the building has been changed expanded and rebuilt several times throughout its existence. It has been declared finished many times, but the citizens of Lenen tend to joke that it is a never-ending construction site, and even if it is not being rebuilt or expanded, something is always being fixed.
Fairly recently, the market hall burned to the ground after a lightning strike and had to be rebuilt. City officials chose to have it redesigned according to the newest standards of architectural art and safety, wanting to show off the city's wealth, generosity and taste. This newest rebuild is currently mostly finished and in use for its intended purpose as the central trade hub of the city.
One would be hard-pressed to find anything that is not being sold at the market hall. Everything from food to fabrics to weapons and armour to jewellery and finery can be found here, and every person, regardless of place of origin and social standing will most likely find what they are looking for. Those who know where to look and which merchants to ask will also be able to get some less than legal wares that are otherwise difficult to come by.
For most citizens of Lenen, the market hall is just that, the place where they get what they need for their daily lives, or the the place where they sell their merchandise.
To some, however, it is more than that. For the members of the Guild, the market hall is also the main entrance to their secret headquartes underneath the city.
As a place that is bustling with activity at all hours and filled with people from all walks of life, it makes for the perfect cover. No matter which disguise a Guild member may be wearing, chances are no one is going to pay attention to them there.
