The Vale of Eyre Railway C Class were 0-6-2T tank locomotives introduced into traffic on the Vale of Eyre Railway in 1908. There was a total of fifteen engines in the class and they were built by 4 manufacturers.
Weirbury & Faltham Railway: In 1917, 2 locomotives were purchased by the Weirbury & Faltham Railway. These entered GN&SR stock in 1923 as Nos. 662 & 663. These were originally Nos. 26 (Deucaville) and No. 32 (Grant, Ritchie & Company). One engine was given the name "Leowyn the Elder", with the other one being named "Lady Thistleberry".
