In 1916, the
Railway Operating Division found and recovered the intact frames, wheels, motion and cylinders of №238 from the Coleman, Bell scrapyard in
Roxbury. A new set of tanks, a new boiler and a new cab were fitted by the Odstone Engine Company. She was then used at MoM Carswell before sale to the Duchess Of Aleyeshire Collieries where she was later converted to an 0-6-0T before she was scrapped on site in 1973.
