GN&SR 200 Class
The Great Northern & Southern Railway 200 Class 0-6-0T was a class of twenty-five 0-6-0T type steam locomotive designed for shunting and light traffic. All members of the class passed into ownership of the ENR where they were numbered in sequence with the similar GN&SR 320 Class.
The class was one of several 0-6-0Ts designed by George Wilde to replace older locmomotives of similar types that had been both built and inherited by the GN&SR. The first of the class (200 - 206) were built to replace the 0-6-0STs that had been inherited from the Northern & Eastern Railway, further members of the class were outfitted with condensing gear for working on suburban trains (both freight and passenger) and shunting in Knightsbury.
