Eastern Counties Railway "Moon" Class №80 "Rhea"
Eastern Counties Railway "Moon" Class №80 "Rhea" was one of seven locomotives built by Robert Stephenson and Company in 1875 to a standard "Long Boiler" 0-6-0 design. the class, while ment for goods work, were used as mixed traffic locomotives with №80 & 85 running the Eden Valley Line. She ran mixed trains on the line until more powerful locomotives took over and she was relegated to banking duties out of Beckett towards Whitwell. This is where she stayed until October 1919 when she was withdrawn as the last of her class in use. Thankfully she was preserved and placed on initial display at Graveshead station before being moved during WW2.
