The Undying Lands of Avalor

After the continent was turned to the control of the elven creator god Callenish-Ur the Ever-Song, he transformed it to the mythical final rest place for the souls of his creations.

In the first age of cration, the elves were by far the most perfect creations among the mortal souls wondering the world. their features perfect in every way, their talent with music, fine crafts and everything refined- unparalleled.

Unsusceptible to illness nor old age, gradually, some of them were becoming weary of life.

Unwilling to admit he was wrong, granting them this boon of longevity he eventually came upon a solution.

He would consecrate his newly acquired land and link it to the faywild, thus allowing his world-weary creations to finally retire from their earthly concerns and sail to the Undying lands of Avalor.

Here, upon arrival, they would wander freely with song and dance and a light heart. some wandered naked, others in the form of animals. they retained little of their former memories and even their physical bodies would gradually erode until nothing would remain.

It is said, that in those days even Callenish-Ur would prefer to walk about those mythical lands, manifesting most of his attention to the evergreen fields of Avalor.

For millennia elvenkin would sail to this land, never to return again to the mortal realms, until Callenish-Ur was eventually forced to relinquish his prized possession.

And even though the land would once more become a regular mundane realm, it's connection to the Faywild would always remain strong.
