Corix- God of the Forge

Corix is the Dwarven God of the Forge.

He is Lawful neutral in present day, however back in the first age he used to be Lawful Good.

in the beginning of creation Corix was a benevolent Deity. he gave his followers the knowledge of smiting and taught them as much as they could learn.

it is said that in times of old the artifacts created by the most skilled of craftsmen were made to such a legendary degree of refined perfection that upon completion they often could perform miraculous magical wonders, even without the process of enchantment.

Among Corix's disciples were dwarves, elves and men (and more rarely others) and in those days to work and to create was akin to worshiping him.

After the events of the epic fight with the great aberrant dragon from the great beyond Corix was gravely wounded and from those wounds he would never recover.

However, more than anything he was furious with his co-creator Gods. for in the time of his great struggle to defend creation, non of them intervened.

That is why, he removed himself from the presence of the mortal world, leaving it to it's fate, never to return.

Aftermath

in the wake of Corix's withdrawal, his most fateful vowed to follow suit. they laid down the tools of their craft and did not pass any knowledge of their skilful work.

Much knowledge and many exceptional tools and weapons were lost- either destroyed or hidden away.

In recent history most of the followers of Corix are dwarven metalsmiths.
