As recommended by a very good friend Demongrey, I have been working on a female Order of Chivalry. This Order of the Rose, created by King William at the behest of Queen Ana, is meant to recognize women within the Kingdom of America. I have an idea of a few prominent women that this could be bestowed upon.
I love this idea. I just read the article, and I have a question - you said that they are not granted the style of "Dame" - are they granted any title, or is it more that they can add "Order of the Rose" to their name (like "Lucretia Mott, Order of the Rose")?
I completely missed that I didn't answer this! So, I was thinking it'd be something like what Great Britain does. Take for example the Order of the British Empire. If you have this honor, your name is followed by "OBE". With your example, it'd be "Lucretia Mott, OR". That way it still has a way to recognize those without granting the title.
