News has come from the Chancellor. Operation Downfall has been authorized. We are to invade the Empire of Japan on their home front. We shall strike from the south, godforsaken islands they call Kyushu and Shikoku. The Russians, should they ever grace us with their support, are to invade the northern island of Hokkaido. This comes after the Germans have dealt a serious blow to the British in Norwich, ending the war in Europe. Now, men, it is our turn to bring peace in the area of the world. We can not be certain what the days ahaead will bring. The fighting will be fiercer than ever faced. Fiercer than Peleliu, than Iwo Jima, than Okinawa. What will be said is that the fighting spirit of the American military will persevere, and how they fought with vigor until they reached the heartland of the enemy.
