General Augustin Iturbide

Augustin Iturbide was a Mexican general during the revolution, originally supporting the royalists, but supported the revolutionaries at the proclamation of the First Mexican Empire. He eventually declared war on the ruling Emperor Vicente due to the liberal policies enacted. He was defeated by a joint Mexican and American force. In the peace agreement, his son married the daughter of Guerrero, Maria. Upon the death of Vicente, Iturbide rose up once again in rebellion with his son. He was killed in combat during the conflict.
