Abdication

Abdication of King Edward VIII
King of Great Britain

January 3rd, 1951

My dearest subjects. It is with a heavy heart that I must withdraw from royal duties as your sovereign. This shall be my final act as king, as I renounce any claim upon the throne. None from my lineage shall press claim on the throne from this day onward. I place all further titles, claims, and duties to my brother, Albert. May his reign be an evermore peaceful one that I have brought upon this great nation. I am truly sorry for the damages I have wrought upon you. May Britannia rule forever more.
