The Ancient Dragons, Last of Their Kind
According to legend, immortal dragons once existed in the land now known as Kindevion. They were not of the five races, but existed regardless of the celestials' intervention. They were capable of complex, independent thought, and were not usually benevolent in nature. The Dragons viewed the world as something they were to control, many of whom claiming they had a natural right to the realm. Many of Kindevion's inhabitants at the time would take up the mantle of Dragonslayer, a group of warriors seeking to eradicate the Dragons to appease the Gods' perfect vision. For thousands of years they were persecuted, and many now believe there to be only seven left in existence.
The Seven Ancient Dragons:
- Sepnir - Stone Dragon. Sleeps in a hidden chamber deep below the desert sands of Zakib.
- Moldra - Crystal Dragon. Guards the entrance to the Underdark.
- Grondark - Storm Drake. Hides itself by traveling in storm clouds.
- Azeroth - Fire Dragon of pure chaos. Ally to Vorston, the Lord of Frigid Wrath.
- Neb - Sea Serpent. Lives at the bottom of sea off of Tarstan's western coast, fighting off Calcilith.
- Koldien - Ice Dragon. Lives amongst the mountains of the Frigid North, guarding the Northern Paradise.
- Calcilith - Black Dragon. Feeds off of the cruelty and hatred of mortals, desires to please the Aspect of Chaos, a primeval force serving as the antithesis to order.
