Nuclear power in SIR
Sichovan Independent Republic, unsurprisingly, is pretty touchy about its power autarky, especially ever since separating from Muscovia.
Some of the more prominent nuclear units
1. Pripy'at NPP - first of the NPPs in SIR, split in two subplants, with one having 6x GG-1000 gas-cooled channel-type reactors, while other has 4x GG-4800 gas-cooled channel-type reactors. One of the largest powerplants in the world bar none, equipped with some of the largest natural uranium-fueled reactors. 6 blocks were built in the time under Muscovia, remaining 4 blocks on the other side of the river were finished during Independence times to get rid of any fossil fuel dependencies on Muscovia. While the GG-4800 are quite hard to control and have peculiar neutronic decoupling-related issues, they're kept operational nonetheless - some say because they're crucial to the nuclear programme of SIR.
2. Sich NPP - built near birthplace of Sich itself, this powerplant has 6 VV-1000 reactors. First powerplant with such reactors in SIR.
3. South Sich NPP - 5 blocks, first three - VV-1000, 4 - FS-1600 integral sodium-cooled fast breeder reactor, 5 - DF-1000 experimental dual fluid reactor
4. Netechyn NPP - 6x VV-1000, 2x - licensed Eastinghouse WW1000.
5. Kyrym NPP - 4x VV-1000, partially used to power local automated military bases.
Other nuclear units of lesser notability: Orbita NHPP, Termodar NHPP, Yuziv NHPP, Otashiv NHPP, Monastyrets NPP, Rozhnyativ NPP, Khersones NPP, Osokorivka NPP
