Crucillus Varalei

He stands tall and confident, with an air of grace and agility. His movements are fluid and precise, reflecting his skills in combat and his energetic nature.

Crucillus has a sharp, angular face typical of high elves, with piercing blue eyes that gleam with cunning and mischief. His skin is fair, almost luminous, a trait of his high-born status. High cheekbones and a slender nose give him an aristocratic look. He sports a sly, confident smirk. His expression often shifts between a charming smile and a calculating, almost predatory gaze, reflecting his duplicitous nature and his lust for power and thrill.

Crucillus wears luxurious clothing that befits his status. He dons a long, dark green velvet cloak lined with intricate golden embroidery, symbolizing his connection to the woodlands and his royal lineage. Underneath, he wears a fine, fitted tunic in deep, royal blues or purples, paired with black leather trousers. The tunic is decorated with subtle, elvish motifs.   Crucillus wears several pieces of jewelry - rings and bracelets made of silver and inlaid with sapphires and emeralds, symbolizing his high status and wealth. He also has a distinctive amulet, possibly an heirloom, that hangs around his neck, glowing with a subtle magical aura.

He is equipped with light but effective armor, such as a beautifully crafted leather chestpiece, adorned with elven designs. He carries a slender, elegant longbow, a quiver filled with finely fletched arrows, and a slender rapier at his side, all indicative of his skill as a hunter and fighter. Crucillus can also be seen brandishing a crossbow, his favourite weapon when hunting large game.

From a young age, Crucillus has been enjoying the thrill of the hunt. Born in House Varalei, he could often be found hunting in the forests of Pothael or the swamps of Laedor Thilis. The most exciting times for young Crucillus were retreats to the family house in Thellur, as they allowed the high elf to hunt for large game in the Eastern Forest of Qosid.   As Crucillus aged, it became clear to for him everything was similar to hunting. Friendships, love and political life were about identifying prey, following tracks and striking a blow at the most opportune time. This outlook on life paid off, as he indeed proved succesful at understanding, manipulating and trapping those around him. Within the family, he was a force to be reckoned with, a sharp contrast with some of the more impulsive and gluttonous members of his House.   In 815 LC, Crucillus was allowed to move to Thellur and take permanent residence in the family mansion. At that time, the area surrounding the mansion had become known as the Bridge District and many powerful figures had built a second or even new home there. The House Varalei had hoped that Crucillus would use his political skills to use, far away from the prying eyes of the Crown of the Kingdom of Laeryll.   This happened, indeed. Crucillus forged alliances and set up a network of henchmen that kept him informed. He secured treasure, nudged the powerful towards his aims and constructed a power base. In the Bridge District, he became known as the most important figure to get things done and it came as no surprise that once he ran for the office in 903 LC, Crucillus was elected as the Representative for his district.   Crucillus' outward-facing politics is hardly radical: he advocates for more rights for non-Qosidians (especially with regards to housing) and continued autonomy for the wood elves. On the grounds of the second viewpoint, he opposes participation in Olyxx' war against the Labarean Empire.
