Larice Armelarin
Half-elf male, a retired adventuring wizard who lives in the hollow trunk of an exceptionally large tree just outside of Seyatro. He has used his magic to render his house invisible; however, seekers can often locate it by the smell of the colitas he is fond of smoking.
He is now in late middle age. While he is quite accomplished as a wizard, and happily shares his knowledge (and his stash!) with correspondents and any seekers who manage to find him, he does little in the way of new research or even magical experimentation. Rather, he is content to smoke and to contemplate, both on his past and on the nature of the universe.
Many of his friends and correspondents are, nowadays, somewhat reluctant to loan him books, as it can take him many years to read them, let alone return them. It is not unusual for Armelarin to ask his visitors to return borrowed books on his behalf; this can be a surprisingly lucrative task -- he has been known to stuff a stack of books into a bag of holding or similar device and inform his courier they can keep the bag once the books are returned.
He shares his home with Morrinzad, a male wilden. They were adventuring companions in prior years.
Armelarin is friends with another wizard, Dorlanann Cumeniach, who lives in the city of Lunagalth.
