Basic Information
A low growing fern plant, the flowers are a pretty teal. Still it is the root that makes this plant valuable.
Found on the edges of the Southern Ocean, Lir plants grow in medium light and require lots of water, including salt.
Uses
The flowers, while pretty have no uses. The root however is the base of a powerful and dangerous drug. In order to be consumable it must be distilled at least 3 times, and further distillation will enhance the effects.
This highly addictive drug grants the user minor magical powers for the next hour after use. However, after that hour the user will get the shakes making them next to useless for at least 1 hour beyond that.
Long Term Effects
For around a day after a person's first use, they'll feel strong urges to use again and again, until they fade or they succumb. Every time a person uses this, withdraw takes more and more time.
Long time users lose the irises to their eyes.
