Higan Ossuary of Death

Higan Ossuary of Death

The Higan Ossuary of Death is a Domain of death and memory. Red spider lilies bloom in fields of bones, each blossom a soul severed from the world. Enemies feel the weight of inevitable decay, while allies draw grim resolve from the reminder of mortality. To fight in this Domain is to walk in a graveyard where the world itself conspires to bury you.

Ossuary Mandate

At 3rd level, you strike with the stillness of the grave.   When you use your Domain Strike, the attack deals necrotic damage, and the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or have disadvantage on its next saving throw made before the end of your next turn.   In addition, when you use your Manifest Domain, it takes the form of the Crimson Ossuary, a battlefield strewn with bones and blooming red lilies. While your Manifest Domain is active:
  • Enemies that start their turn within 20 feet of you take necrotic damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
  • Any creature reduced to 0 hit points within the Domain leaves behind spectral bones that count as difficult terrain.
  • You and your allies within the Domain gain resistance to necrotic damage.
  •

    Sepulcher’s Grasp

At 7th level, the grave’s pull extends through your aura.   While your Aura of Territory is active, enemies that end their turn in the aura must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be pulled 10 feet closer to you as skeletal hands burst from the ground.   In addition, whenever an enemy within your Aura is reduced to 0 hit points, you or one ally of your choice within the Aura regains hit points equal to your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier.

    Bloom of Red Lilies

At 15th level, death answers violence with violence.   When a creature within your Domain deals damage to you or an ally, you can use your reaction to call forth a bloom of red lilies that explodes with necrotic energy. The attacker must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take necrotic damage equal to two rolls of your Domain Strike die and be frightened until the end of its next turn.   You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

    World-Mourning Necropolis

At 20th level, you unveil your true Domain: a necropolis where bones rise, lilies choke the earth, and silence reigns eternal.   When you use your Exalted Domain, it expands into the World-Mourning Necropolis, a 60-foot radius where crimson lilies bloom among endless skeletal remains. The ground counts as difficult terrain for enemies, and undead creatures of your choice rise from the lilies as spectral warriors (use skeleton or zombie stat blocks; they last until the next initiative count 20). While this Domain is active, you and your allies inside are immune to fear effects, and your weapon attacks deal an additional 1d8 necrotic damage.   At initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), choose two of the following effects:
  • Bone Eruption. Skeletal remains erupt from the ground. Each enemy of your choice in the Domain must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d8 piercing damage and be restrained until the start of its next turn.
  • Grave Bloom. Choose up to three allies in the Domain. Each regains hit points equal to 2d8 + your Charisma modifier as spectral lilies surround them.
  • Silencing Dirge. A mournful wail sweeps across the Domain. Each enemy of your choice must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be silenced (unable to cast spells with verbal components) until the next initiative count 20.
