Draumvader

One element of Immanika magic that frightens the mages is the ability to manipulate dreams - Draumvading. When confronted by a susceptible individual, either worn down by a Daerksaed or other means, a draumvader can enter their dreams and transform them to their will. The victims thoughts are accessible as visions to the invader, making them this a powerful means of gathering intelligence.   In order to gain power over the dreamer, the draumvader need only seize the victim and declare in Immalkus, "Semgelig chein icharnor" [Reveal your soul]. For so long as the dreamer is asleep naturally, they are at the mercy of the draumvader. The dream falls under their control, and they can inflict pain up to the point of death. All physical damage done during this period is undone following the victim awakening, as it is all in the victim's mind. However, death cannot be undone, and whoever dies during the draumvading dies in life as well.   Several masters of Conjuration magic have developed a runic defense that provides some protection for any who are impacted by a Draumvader. If the victim is attuned to magic, then they can use talisman or runic stones to ward themselves. However, doing so drains the power of the talisman considerably, making it less effective over time.
