Hersch Park

Named after one of the finest scholars of the city's great educational institution, Hersch Park sits peacefully behind the university building. It is one of only two parks created within the city and is meticulously preserved. A humble cemetery occupies the northern portion of the park - while the majority of people are buried outside of the city by long standing laws, the influential or great individuals of Nurem are typically entombed here so that the citizens of Nurem may never forget their service. A handful of groundskeepers keep the park clean, while guard patrols head through the park daily to ensure that criminals can't take root in the shadows of the greenery... and to ensure that any monsters that occasionally creep up from the river are dealt with.
