General Tradd
General Tradd is the commander of Libertia's substantial garrison in southern Pallas. He commands roughly 5000 men from Castle Saffron and works to steer the chaos of the leaderless land in the direction of Libertian interests.
He encountered the party during their first visit to Castle Saffron, where he ordered them to destroy a group of bandits and recover their hostages after the PCs persuaded his underling, Major Cross, to lend them some Libertian troops against the centaur threat.
This quest turned out to be far more complicated when the 'hostages' were revealed to be one boy, who the party later learned was Rudyard: son of Lord Klaid of Nurem.
General Tradd abandoned his special treatment of the party by ordering his forces to destroy them should they get in the way of Libertia's efforts. The party faced the general and his forces at the Siege of Nurem, and successfully repelled the attack.
Since then, the general has retreated to Castle Saffron. His next move is unknown, but more and more reinforcements from the Republic are streaming into southern Pallas.
