Freida
Lady Fredia Straus
Freida, or Lady Freida of House Straus, is a noblewoman of Nurem and the daughter of Lord Fergus Straus. She is his fourth and youngest child. She is twenty years of age.
Freida has had a turbulent relationship with her family. While House Straus has awkwardly meandered through the poltiical field of Nurem to gain the upper hand against the other three noble familes, Freida had grown tired of the life at court even during childhood. At the conclusion of her education, she left Nurem with a few of her father's household guards - sworn to protect her - and embarked on a mission for the good of Nurem rather than just her father's goals. Lord Straus was less than pleased with his daughter's departure, but reluctantly left her to her own devices while he focused on the developing tensions in the city.
Freida has travelled up and down the coast of the Royal Sea for nearly a year since then, visiting villages and towns along the way with the goal of encouraging them to reunite with Nurem in a kingdom, like in the days before Pallas.
Freida fears the growing influence and control of Libertia from the south, and when she heard word of the Mayor of Newport conspiring with the Libertians, she hastened to the town, where she met with Damion Hartfeld - an acquaintance from the beginning of her travels.
Freida stayed with the party after the events of Newport. When the party searched for the Codex Umbra, she had her Lord Father give them accomodation in Nurem. After the events of Nurem, however, Freida chose to flee with her family after his safety could no longer be guaranteed. She is currently in Viscovy to the north.
