Dorleon

Originally a small fishing community, over the past two hundred years, Dorleon has grown and developed into the primary port city of Libertia’s western coast - a funnel for trade, goods, and gold. The rulers of the city have used that money to grow a vibrant multicultural centre in the city based on seafaring culture and worship. Dorleon is best known for its food, carnivals, debauchery, and in recent years, fireworks. Smuggling and piracy are a way of life for many here. The Illumné Carnival is the event of the year in Dorleon, and indeed, Libertia, as thousands of wealthier citizens travel to the city for a festival of dance, parades, food and drink from across the known world... as well as sleazier activities. During the festival, citizens typically dye their hair various bright colours, and wear costumes. Dorleon is well known for its canals, which meander throughout the city, and travel via the canals is a common method of transportation.
