Codex Multiversalis

The Codex Multiversalis is a bizarre, unorthodox book in the shape of a cube. Each of its sides can be opened and the contents appears to the reader on the inside of the cube itself, creating a strange illusion that is not always easy to read.   The Codex Multiversalis was given to the heroes by Trin, a mysterious woman who claimed to have been protecting it for hundreds of years. Very little is understood about the Codex by the party. They first encountered a fragment of the book in the Forge realm and used it to escape that dying world as it was overrun by a demonic horde.   The completed artifact can be (and has been) used by the party to travel to worlds other than the Prime world they have always known. Its current owner, Arcano, is able to decipher the runes and glyphs in the pages to open these portals, though at great risk. Arcano has since been studying and attuning to the bizarre object to gain better knowledge of its workings and unlock its secrets.
