Champion of Elir
The title of 'Champion of Elir' is a rare occurrence in the society of the Feywood Elves. In accordance with religious dogma and long standing legends, the wood elves of the Feywood believe that their goddess will choose a worthy champion from among their people in times of great peril or need.
The Champion is always said to be one of a well-meaning heart with a duty to protect the domain of the Feywood from anything that threatens it. It is said that the Champion carries the true blessing and spirit of Elir wherever they go, and carry the mythical bow of the goddess as their instrument of duty.
Though the Feywood has suffered greatly since the Maelstrom Event, and the woods themselves have become corrupted , the influence of the goddess has waned to a point where the hope of the Feywood Elves had all but faded.
However, the party was able to restore the Heart Tree to its former glory and vanquish the corruption that spread about the forest. The goddess Elir herself appeared to Aranea, who freed the tree from its affliction.
The elves recognised that Aranea had been chosen as the first Champion in centuries, and acknowledged her place as Champion of Elir.
