Aladreas

Aladreas was met by the party during Nurem's Winter Tournament. He introduced himself as a Giladri from the east and a member of the Cabal: an order of magic not unlike the Royal College. He was granted an honourary seat in the Guild's ruling High Circle by honour of his position in the Cabal and he was disliked by many of the Guild's mages for it. Aladreas approached the party to discuss their quest in Nurem and whether or not they'd be willing to help him retrieve an artifact from the Royal College - having already assisted them with their vampire problem. The party decided it was too risky with the forces of Libertia approaching and so Aladreas left the group for his own mission. During the battle, there was an explosion at the College which ruined one of its three towers. The party suspected Aladreas but did not have the means to pursue it further. Later, the party received a note from Aladreas thanking them and telling them that they should 'look toward the Sunderlands', along with a small crystal. Weeks later, during the Thread Reader's session, the party beheld a figure that resembled Aladreas transform into some sort of giant, dragon-like beast capable of levitation and mind-rending power.

Aladreas' Note

“Friends, our temporary alliance has reached its end. I regret that we shall not meet again. If I am correct, these foolish dabblers will not open this letter before you in fear of a magical trap. If you are wise, you should destroy them. This Guild of Arcani - it will do nothing but horde the wonders that would restore greatness to your kind. Rest assured, as far as myself is concerned, the balance of power shall soon be restored. In time, look toward the Sunderlands, and you shall see. Aladreas.”
