Battle of Turris Mors

The forces of Semias Drach numbered roughly 120,000 footsoldiers and 5,000 mages, a number which had been reduced due to the implementation of the magic ward. This army also included several dragons the Drach had resurrected, including Nezontat the Victorious, Sorrontyl the Cleaver, and Lirlat the Deathbringer.   Opposing Drach were the forces of all seven mage armies, which included: - The Azure Magistratum: 12,000 Exectutors, 350 Magi, 1 Walking Ship - The Druidic Circles of Shao-Lian: 1,000 Tribal Warriors, 98 Druids - The Shamans of the Primordials: 2,000 Berserkers, 500 Långträckhåller, 120 Warlock Shamans - The Covenant of the Sacred Dragon: 50,000 Menials, 12 Great Scarabs, 342 Dragon Socerers - The Delve Liberation Front: 2,300 Militiamen, 15 Hedge Mages - The Order of the Black Sun: 50 Acolytes, 2 Grand Serpents - The Cult of the Sorcerous Fathers: 8,900 Footsoldiers, 750 Acolytes, 23 Sorcerers, 1 Great Father

The final battle of the Great Mage War took place in and around the cliffside fortress of Turris Mors, home base of Lich King Semias Drach.

Due to the implementation of a continent-spanning ward that heavily limited magic, many mages on both sides of the battlefield were unable to use their magic. Another consequence of the ward was a distinct change in weather, which caused the usually temperate area around Turris Mors to become ravaged by blizzards.

The initial engagement began with the bombardment of Turris Mors by both the Azure Magistratum's Walking Ship and the Covenant of the Sacred Dragon's twelve remaining Great Scarabs (Magna Scarabaeus). After three days, the Walking Ship and eight Great Scarabs had been destroyed/killed by attacks from Quavirun the Dark One and Yzzir the Lowly, both undead dragons under Drach's command. Several assaults were made on Turris Mors between mid-August and late September, with each costing numerous Menials and Executors making up the bulk of the ground forces. Executors led by High Guardmaster Ekaterina Desny finally broke through the walls with the aid of the last Great Scarab on the 1st of October, although it cost the Scarab its life and marked the complete extinction of Magna Scarabaeus. The rest of the army followed the Executors into Turris Mors, fighting their way to Drach's inner sanctum beneath the fortress. It is unknown who dealt the final blow to Drach. Cryptic sources left behind in modern-day Ironhold allege that it was the Långträckhåller Nils who killed him, while an obscure record in the halls of the Mystic Order makes reference to an Ekaterina Desny who slew a "great evil" at roughly the same time.

Drach is defeated. The seven mage armies force Drach's forces into exile.

The Mystic Order is formed by mages from all seven armies. The Great Mage War is expunged from the historical record. Magna Scarabaeus is declared extinct.
