Trothian
Characteristics Associated with the Descendants of the Troth Hero
This term currently only exists in papers and essays filed in the Dannamore library. A practical term designed to help identify and trace the lineage of an ancient hero who pioneered both religious faith and scientific advancements. The Troth hero is well reputed to have lived a long life that bore much fruit and not only advanced the culture of the prairie nomads but buoyed the population for centuries to come. All descriptions ahead are the result of deduction and careful thought but should not yet be taken for fact! These are supposition, at best!I will also note that I do not care for the tone of my colleagues' assertions and descriptions.
The typical Trothian is taller than the average Allegran. Even among the women it is common to reach 6' tall. Men tend towards being broad-shouldered with a lean core and powerful legs. Women are the same, with the traditional female traits also present. Their breasts are smaller than other Allegran heritages and are overall somewhat more lean. It's worth noting that the nomadic nature of their society also strongly lends itself to a lean and mobile build.
Hints of their Trothian heritage can be seen in the set and shape of their eyes. Trothian eyes are typically very dark but are as seen in every shade of green, blue, and brown. Men and women both have predominantly oval-shaped skull structures with men having a heavier brow and jaw than the women. This is typical among most human ethnicities but the disparity is more noticeable among Trothian descendants.
Trothian virility is part of their common legend among the Allegran folk and there is abundant evidence to support this belief. Recently Nariman discovered an entire clan of grasslanders composed solely of hedonistic hunters, many of which he recounted shared Trothian features. The number of successful grasslander births is incredibly high given their primitive conditions which can only be attributed to their ancestry.
The most important gift from the Troth hero is much more difficult to find, however. Evidence supports the idea that Trothians are naturally gifted in the arcane and often have inborn talent that can surpass trained mages. Although Nariman has reported no metaphysical tradition among the modern clans of grasslanders, their survival on the dangerous plains is still supported by the ancient traditions passed down by their forebears.
