Leman'Ales

The Unique parts of One Machine

Leman'Ales is a unique word from the grasslander dialect of Cadence. The phrase essentially translates to; 'the many different parts of a single machine'. In certain contexts it can be used to replace the words for 'group', 'ingredients', or even 'team' however its true meaning and purpose is as reference to the many useful parts harvested from the kouzelina plant. There are individual names for every kind of useful component harvestable, and individual names for every different kind of preparation, treatment, or application of each component. Hundreds of words and names solely associated with a tradition found among the vererant tribespeople. Asking for the toolbox rather than the wrench within, so to speak.

Common Usage

The most prevalent use of the resources the plant offers is to preserve then dry the leaves, crush them into a paste that is made by combining several other common herbs with a soft fleshy material found in the stem of the same plant. For this use, both elements must be prepared within minutes of a spherestorm dispersing but once ready can be safely consumed days or even weeks later if stored properly. The paste and powder are only combined immediately before ingestion.

These concoctions are powerful stimulants that enhance the physical abilities of humans who ingest it, like a rush of adrenaline that mostly keeps your mind clear. The grasslanders are known and feared for their berserker warriors but most do not know where the tradition originates or that it's effects are completely manufactured.

Among the Uklidnit tribe nearly all parts of the plant that can be harvested are used, and can be treated or prepared in specific ways to meet a multitude of needs. Some are ritualistic traditions with no magic or alchemy involved but most have some kind chemical or biological benefit for the participants.
