Hesperidium Leaves

Aurelia only drinks tea when she's feeling blue, quite literally that is. Whenever she notices her skin starting to look a little blue, she drinks a special blend of tea made with hesperidium leaves imported from her home world, an obscure little planet deep in the Roslexian Sector. The bright orange tea soothes her homesickness, with its sweet citrusy flavor, and gives her energy a bit of a boost while she's in the faraway places where she operates her little teahouse.

Description

  Hesperidium leaves are tiny little heart shaped leaves that come from a tall shrub native to one of the more obscure worlds located in the Roslexian Sector. The bright orange leaves can be harvested several times within one of the planet's solar cycles.

Common Use

  Dried hesperidium leaves are commonly used in teas where their sweet citrusy flavor and aroma combine to be both soothing and energizing at the same time and their cheerful orange color will brighten anyone's day. Another lesser known use for hesperidium tea is as a remedy for a mineral deficiency called creeping blues. This illness afflicts all of the natives of the world that these leaves come from when they stay away from their home for long periods of time, and when left untreated, it will cause the individual to spiral into a deep depression.

Market & Regulation

  The sale and distribution of hesperidium tea is regulated by the UAG making it increasingly difficult to obtain. This has driven the price up to the point where only the wealthy can afford it. Anyone else wanting to enjoy this delicious tea, or needing it cure the effects of creeping blues, must turn to the black market where it can generally be found at a more reasonable price.
