Sōya

Sōya are the most dangerous species in the Harami desert. They don’t have the usual sensory organs, but instead ultrasound locating systems. They also rely on their ability to sense vibrations in the ground.
This creatures have very powerful legs that allow them to run at a sustained 90 km/h. They can reach speeds up to roughly 140 km/h. They hunt by sprinting towards their prey and then grabbing them with their mouths. Usually, the impact is enough to kill the prey, but for larger animals they have to tackle them continuously.
Sōya are always seen in pack. The groups consist of around 15 to 30 different specimens. The females hunt and are a bit larger than the males.
The meat of this animals is very valuable. It tastes exceptionally good, but hunting them is so difficult that only emperors and landlords can afford to eat one piece once a month.
