Construction of Ozen's Watch

Ozen's Watch is a massive tower and palace located at the approximate center of Central Umbar. Since the tower's completion in 595 SR during the reign of Radiant Aglaea Kátodoso, it has served as the primary residence of all the city's Radiants, both winged and wingless alike.

Ozen II Vraisoséto, a winged Radiant in the 6th century SR, is perhaps most often cited as the one who constructed Ozen's Watch, as it was indeed originally called "The Shining Tower" during its planning phase before being dubbed "Ozen's Watch" after her upon its christening. Ozen II did commission the structure, with its planning and construction beginning in 555 SR during the latter half of her hundred year reign.

However, Ozen died four years prior to the Tower's completion in 595 SR, and she had little to no involvement in the project past its commissioning and a press tour throughout Outer Umbar to drum up public support for the expensive undertaking whilst many of the poorer Umbarim struggled with rampant crime, high food prices, and deteriorating public services.
