The Watcher

The Observer. The Recording Silence - The Watcher Core Alignment: Neutral Domains: Knowledge, Arcana, Order, Creation     The Last of Kalio’s children, the Watcher was formed around a spherical core of crystal clear Alexandrite, tinged lightly blue and green in the light of day, and vaguely red when hit with the light of fire and night, which supposedly all variations of the famous Scrying Stone pay homage to in design. The man that formed around this core was neither cruel nor passionate, but they always acted with distinction, as they could see all around themselves, from the perspective of anytone they knew, and sensing the world through the ground, changes in the wind, and sensations on the skin, seeing and processing far more than any mortal can, quickly and efficiently. When the war came, the Watcher serves as the combined Gods’ Master of Intelligence, spreading a web of their own senses and a network of clever men and women in all directions, casting information traps round the world. Masterminds and their directed scouts and rangers tracked into the cities and wilds to study and seek for their patron, and the war went on as best it could. However, distrust began to form around the watcher, the more and more people discovered how deep the Watcher recorded, compiled, and analyzed the goings on of everyone’s day to day. Fear of the “Big Brother” from the constant spying led to the Watcher to take refuge from their anger, and let themselves fade from the narrative. They never stopped watching. Many Scholars call thewWatcher, the “Forgotten Child of Kalio” as fewer and fewer tales with merit survive Time's embrace, and the mystery of this god deepens. Unlike any other gods, the Watcher settled their heart beyond Mortals’ Reach, deep in Svulrock, the Southern Ice Ridges, where even Vaulters and Molvyra do not travel. Perfect Exile. Modern Mantle Holders are often observant, and see the motion of the world. Their strengths lie in understanding and often manipulating connections of those who are around them. Faiths that remember the Watcher at all, often have a similar secrecy to the Watcher, and to this day, there’s a hint of nervousness in hearing the Godly Title.   Core Tenants of the Faith surrounding the Watcher: There is a sense of wonder to chasing knowledge. Watch. Wait. Listen. Things yearn to share their secrets. Every being watches, catalogues our experience, and judges it. When you make a habit of documenting others’ experience, others often take notice and fear your judgement. If something escapes notice, it has not truly happened. You may have to have more than one person in the room where it happens, or the results are only the conjecture of everyone guessing.
